Thinking of a career in Cyber Security? This government-backed program may be the opportunity you have been looking for!
If you’re interested in pursuing a career in cyber security, regardless of your current skill level, the Cyber Skills Enrichment Program could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
This program, a joint initiative between Cyber Audit Team and Griffith University, equips individuals wanting to enter the field of cyber security with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to enter and thrive in this dynamic field.
Additionally, there are a number of industry placements available for successful applicants.
Successful applicants will be employed by Cyber Audit Team, as Cyber Security Generalists, and will be offered either full-time or part-time placement for a period of 3 or 6 months (dependent on skills, and organisation need).
During this time, those successful in securing a paid industry placement will be trained across a variety of practical and relevant cyber security skills that will arm them with a broader skillset and “hands-on” knowledge of the day-to-day cyber skills that employers seek, all while being paid.
Who should apply:
Whether you’ve recently graduated (or are about to graduate) and are looking for your first cyber role; or perhaps you’re in an existing IT role with an interest in transitioning into cyber security; or you may have governance risk and compliance (GRC) experience with an interest in information security; or you have other transferable skills and would like to pursue a career in cyber security – this program might just be what you’ve been looking for!
How to apply:
Find out more about our industry placement program at the Cyber Skills Enrichment Program website, or apply directly for an industry placement here.
*Candidates must be based in Australia and have the right to work in Australia on a full-time basis.
